Overhauling Your Corvette’s Brakes

Imagine what you would be doing to your Corvette brakes each time when you bring her to a stop from 100 mph and more. Your brake pads smoke and your tires squeal. There’s the acrid smell of rubber and brake pads all around you. When you do this repeatedly such as when you take a sharp turn too fast or need to hit your brakes in order to control your speed you are wearing off and straining your brake system. Your brakes need to be overhauled.

There are excellent brake packages available for your Corvette these days. Normally, it would suffice if you were to order the Corvette rotors and calipers or just the brake pads and maybe the brake fluid test strips along with the bleeder tool and maybe some brake fluid and the brake lines in case these need to be changed. However, nowadays these packages are a good order if you need to do a complete overhaul of your Corvette brakes. These high performance brake packages contain 1 pc 12” rear Baer EradiSpeed cross-drilled and slotted rotors along with 13” front Baer EradiSpeed cross-drilled and slotted rotors. You also get HP Plus Front and HP Plus Rear along with high temperature brake fluid and DOT approved stainless steel pipelines. You also need to order the Corvette brake pads that could be the Hawk HPS for the rear and the GM type OEM for the front. These pads are ceramic types and therefore reduce the black dust that settles down on the wheels.
